Sales of the new Mazda Demio commenced on September 26.
The new Demio incorporates a Futaba Kogyo steering member(instrument panel member), one of the Company’s key products, as well as our roof rail interior member, roof reinforcement, B-pillar reinforcement, fuel lid and fuel box and other body shell parts.
With the goal of achieving vehicle weight reductions, we diversified our use of high-tensile-strength steel plate materials and implemented advanced press molding techniques to achieve stable product quality. Furthermore, we implemented steady improvements such as enhancing yield rates to save resources and reduce costs, enabling us to make significant contributions in terms of environmental conservation.

Hiroshima Factory (Kabe Plant) which was under construction have been completed. This factory is located near DaikyoNishikawa Corporation Kabe Plant, one of our main clients. We reconstruct our production base by the establishment of this factory. And we keep on trying to make comfortable and highly efficient factory.

In recognition of our performance in areas such as product quality, costs, product delivery deadlines and technological capabilities, Futaba Kogyo received the FY 2013 Award for Outstanding Business Dealings from Mazda Motor Corporation. This is the ninth time we have been honored with this award. In addition, our company also received the Continued Excellence in Delivery Quality Achievement Award. This commendation was granted based on 5 consecutive years of superior achievements in delivery quality of motor parts. Both of these achievements have been made possible thanks to the generous support of customers and clients as well as the numerous good deeds of each and every Futaba Kogyo employee.
